[News from News Center] On Dec. 7th afternoon, YSU signed comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. (NHI) at the meeting room of NHI. NHI President Hexiang Liu and YSU President Hongmin Liu signed on the agreement. NHI Senior Vice President Kaijun Zhao and Jingchang Feng, YSU Vice President Xiangdong Kong , and other leaders attended the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Hequn Liu welcomed YSU and hoped that the comprehensive strategic cooperation could provide a strong support for the NHI strategy of “comprehensive intelligent solution” in the new stage, and create a new model of high-level university-industry cooperation. Hongmin Liu thanked NHI, saying that NHI’s innovation in technology and management was admirable, and that the NHI’s imperative demand for technological innovation made it more promising for the cooperation between two parties. On the basis of the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, the two parties should implement the details of cooperation as soon as possible, including the talent training, technology promotion, innovation and R&D, to achieve the common development of YSU and NHI. Xiangdong Kong noted that NHI and YSU are long-term partners as close as brothers, and YSU attached great importance to the cooperation with the NHI. Therefore, the two parties should continue their efforts to push the cooperation to a higher and newer stage. YSU will rely on the existing machinery platforms to jointly set up cooperation program with NHI, and carry out concrete implementation in teams. Directors from YSU Science and Technology Office, Graduate Office, Student Affairs Office and High-end Equipment Industry Technology Research Center and other offices also said that they would within implement the specific issues of cooperation within the scope of their respective duties as soon as possible to promote strategic cooperation between the two sides to see the results early.
Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly state-owned company reshuffled and established on the basis of Shenyang Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and Shenyang Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd. In 2007, NHI merged NFM Technologies in France and became an international enterprise. In 2009, NHI became one of the top 500 Chinese enterprises, ranking among the top three in Chinese heavy machinery industry.
