[News from News Center] On Dec. 25th, Hebei College and University E-Class Popularization Kick-off Meeting & Training Class was held at Hebei Normal University, in which the Commission of College and University Education under Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Hebei Education Department decided to establish Hebei College and University E-Class Development Research Center at YSU. As the construction and research institute for Hebei college student cyber community, the Center aims to implement Hebei College and University E-Class Popularization Plan, and is responsible for the online ideological and political education entrusted by Commission of College and University Education and Hebei Education Department.
The Director of the E-Class Development Center under the Ministry of Education Changzhi Li, the Deputy Director of Construction Office under the E-Class Development Center Bin Feng, the Director of Ideological, Political, Physical, Health and Art Department under Hebei Education Department Lihua Yang, the Deputy Director of Hebei Moral Education Research Center Hangzhou Cai attended the meeting as well as directors from Student Affairs Office of Hebei colleges and universities and the advisors of E-Class.
On behalf of Hebei Education Department, Lihua Yang mobilized and deployed the E-Class construction work in Hebei Province, and interpreted in detail the Hebei College and University Implementation of E-Class Popularization Plan (2018-2019) published by the Commission of College and University Education under Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Hebei Education Department. Yang said: “In order to put into practice and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and the spirit of national and provincial conference on college and university ideological and political work, according to the work deployment of E-Class Popularization Plan from the Ministry of Education and the Cyberspace Administration of China, all colleges and universities should complete college students’ ideological and political education to promote E-Class construction in Hebei colleges and universities. All colleges and universities need to seize the Golden Period of E-Class popularization and construction, fully exploit and give full play to E-Class’s practical and user-friendly advantages in the aspect of student education, thus improving the function and effect of educating the young with Internet.

Later, the Inauguration Ceremony of Hebei College and University E-Class Development Research Center was held. Lihua Yang conferred the name plate to YSU. The Director of YSU Student Affairs Office Mingli Zhang accepted the plate on behalf of YSU.
E-Class is a comprehensive and interactive community providing education and teaching, life service, and cultural entertainment, integrating forum, social networking, blog, Weibo and other mainstream Web 2.0 applications. It has one-stop service function of educational informationization customized for teachers and students, and many accesses are available like the Web, mobile client-side. E-Class is a well-known cultural brand in the national education system. The establishment of Hebei College and University E-Class Development Research Center at YSU represents full approval to YSU student ideological and political education work. Taking this event as an opportunity, YSU will pay more attention to leading students’ ideology, strengthening the network new media construction, and striving to forge an evaluation, consultation and research institute for college student cyber ideological and political education integrating exchange, share, service and management, which can really make E-Class a effective way for college student ideological and political education, and play a greater role in improving effectiveness and novelty of Hebei cyber ideological and political education.
