[News from News Center] Recently, coinciding with the 60^th anniversary of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), YSU received a thank-you letter from the CALT, extending sincere gratitude to YSU for the support, understanding and help of CALT.

CALT, the birthplace of China’s aerospace industry founded on Nov.16^th, 1957, is the largest base of missile and launch vehicle integrating research, design, trial-produce, experiment and manufacture and once was the sub-institute of the 5^th Research Institute under the Ministry of National Defense with Xuesen Qian as its first director. The year 2017 witnessed the 60^th anniversary of CALT.

YSU has cooperated with CALT since 1980s and has sent amounts of high-level talents to CALT. Nowadays, over 200 YSU alumni worked at posts of management and technology. Manu alumni have become technical backbones and management talents, and made important contribution to the modernization construction of national defense and the development of aerospace industry. Guohong Tang, graduated in 1981, is now the Deputy Director of CALT and the president of Changzheng Engineering Co., Ltd and Changzheng Rocket Industry Co., Ltd.

On the occasion of the 60^th anniversary of CALT, YSU also sent a congratulatory letter, wishing CALT a prosperous prospect, and hoping to deepen the cooperation between two parties and create brilliance in the new era.
